Ruby Seah has been playing piano since the age of 4. Throughout school, she enjoyed accompanying choirs, and playing clarinet, trumpet, and alto sax in concert and jazz bands. At UBC, she studied English and linguistics, but continued to pursue her love of music by playing in musicals with Royal City Musical Theatre and Align Entertainment, and by obtaining her ARCT teacher's diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music. After her practicum at Pinetree Secondary School, she became familiar with FAT Jazz and joined in 2011. She currently teaches music at Brentwood Park Elementary School in Burnaby, and teaches piano after school in her home studio.
