The FAT Jazz Big Band has been providing fantastic performances of big band music to the Lower Mainland for more than 20 years and our name has nothing to do with our actual size! F.A.T. is an abbreviation for "Friends And Teachers". There are many music teachers and retired music teachers in the band, as well as the wonderful "friends" who make the ensemble complete. Many members of the band live and work in the Tri-Cities area. We rehearse every Thursday evening in Coquitlam, BC.

The band performs a variety of big band music ranging from the music of the 1930's all the way to present day, contemporary artists such as Norah Jones, Michael Bublé, and Bruno Mars, with a great variety of styles in between. In addition, the band also features an exceptional vocalist: Krista Wallace.

FAT Jazz performs all over the Lower Mainland and has a long history of providing outstanding big band/dance/jazz band music to audiences of all ages. The band customizes performances for weddings, anniversaries, dances, formal concerts, corporate events, fundraising events, private parties, school events, and more!
